Laura Vicuña Women Development and Training Center
The Alternative Learning System (ALS) has 34 students who enrolled this school year. Most of them come from different kinds of work, specifically domestic and sugarcane work where help provide the daily needs of their families. However, they realized that education is important in order to get a better job. Thus, they keep coming and strive hard to adapt to the system of the school despite the fact that they are no longer used to it as they stopped schooling for years.
Here in Laura Vicuña-Malihao, we continue to give HOPE a HOME. We are convinced that education give us hope for a better society in the future and a better country for the next generations to come. HOPE for a BRIGHTER FUTURE.
