LVWDTC MALIHAO NEWS
Our Salesian Spirituality is our benchmark not only in the ‘production’ of quality graduates but most especially in preparing our young people to life and the real world. That is why we at the LVWDTC never missed the opportunity to inculcate in our Trainees love and imitation of Mary. Dec. 8, 2019 became an extra ordinary day for us, we advocated True Love Waits, a purity pledge to the Blessed Mother. Our young people even with our lay mission partners promised purity ‘til death offering to our Blessed Mother their very selves for the greater glory of God.
Advent Recollection
The Laura Vicuna Women and Development Technology Center (LVWDTC) had an Advent Recollection for their oratorians. Sr. Phebe Lacse and Sr. Yvonne Jance facilitated the elementary and High School recollection. The oratorians were prepared to welcome Jesus in their hearts. After the recollection, they ate grilled king jumbo hotdog, spaghetti and a bottle of coke. Thanks to our generous benefactors for this hotdog treat.
The Laura Vicuna Women Development and Technology Center (LVWDTC) had their Parti-han on December 16, 2018. Three hundred eighty-one (381) bags of groceries were prepared for their mother and young oratorians from Nanka, Lawaan, Sta. Ana, Consing and Lobaton. A prayer service was prepared. Santa Claus came to distribute sweets. Thanks so much to all our benefactors.
Mr. & Mrs. Dizon’s Donation
Mr. Francisco Dizon, Vice-President of Laura Vicuna Foundation made a donation to Laura Vicuna Women Development and Technology Center (LVWDTC). Part of the donation is the almost finished housekeeping shed. It was built with the help of LVWDTC’s Grades 11 and 12 students. Thank you to Mr. Dizon.
FAMILY IS LOVE! Was the theme of this years’ LVWDTC Family Daycelebration. All eagerly gathered at the gym for a day of camaraderie, fun and bonding. Our Trainees made it sure that their respective families see how they have improved in all aspects of their person because they have been frequenting our Center via the program they have prepared. Indeed, December 18, 2018 have been a very special day for their families. Love has been so evident through sharing of food, fun and life stories. At the end of the day one sighs… family is love, Christmas is love!
Community Outreach Christmas Party
The Laura Vicuna Women Development and Technology Center (LVWDTC) had a community outreach Christmas party in Malihao on December 23, 2018. Because of the non-stop rain the celebration was held in the gym of LVWDTC. Twenty-five (25) families of Hacienda Malihao with their children sang and danced during the program. The parents donated, shared and prepared all the food.
