Follow Your Dreams:
LVF Youth Helping Youth Roadtrips in Negros Occ.

Picture
1,790 students from nine (9) different schools in Negros Occ. were given workshops on July 22-29, by 12 LVF youth helping youth facilitators with 3 Salesian Sisters.  One student said, “We have to make good our lives because we are confronted with a 10-year old facilitator who has a direction in her life.”  The attendees expressed the desire to have sessions like these done regularly in their schools as to inspire them to visualize and realize their dreams.

Colegio Sta Ana de Victorias co-financed the LVF road trips to Negros.  Twenty (20) CSAV students signified interest in volunteering as co-facilitators to other schools and were trained to co-facilitate the conference workshop. Their great interest was very evident in the manner they spoke in front of the assembly, freely giving their views and opinions. One official from DepEd Escalante was amazed at the attraction of the peer to peer methodology of our LVC girls in facilitating, captivating the attention of their students in the sessions and eliciting their participation.

The number of participants from the various schools was:   two hundred fifty (250) Grades 9 to 11 from Colegio de Sta. Ana de Victorias Integrated School - July 22, two hundred (200) First Year College from Colegio de Sta. Ana de Victorias  (CSAV) - July 23,  and  three hundred (300)  oratorians from Laura Vicuña Women Development and Training Center -July 24, one hundred ten (110) participants  from Manapla National High School Purisima Extension -July 25,   one hundred (100) from Alfonso Sta.
