Magic On Ice combines the speed and elegance, the power and beauty of ice skating with big, theatrical magic illusions. The audience saw lightning-fast appearances and vanishes, beautiful levitations, death-defying escapes as well as some fun interactive comedy numbers. How fortunate for those who were there because it was a kind of show that our girls find cool and some families enjoy watching together. After the show there were some reactions from the audience like, “Wow! What a show! It was really great.” Our special thanks to Ms. Judy Araneta-Roxas and to the Amado Araneta Foundation for giving LVF the chance to watch this unforgettable thrilling ice spectacular. One of the core values of the Salesian family is family spirit. A part of their family spirit is recreation. The Salesian Sisters of the Laura Vicuna Women Development and Technology Center spent it with their boarders from Consing, San Isidro, Palawan, Gaston and from the different haciendas of Victorias City. Daisy Beboso, Business and Office Technology trainee and Melisa Estilo, Garments Technology trainee are the SK Kagawads of Barangay 20 and Barangay 13 respectively. JOY is in the air as the learners, volunteer teachers, staff and Sisters spent the feast day of St. John Bosco starting with a Thanksgiving Mass followed by the parade where everyone was shouting at the top of their voice cheering Viva Don Bosco! The rest of the day was spent with games, programs, quiz bee and search for Don Bosco and Laura Vicuna look alike. The Educating Community of LVC Palawan started the year united in caring for Mother Earth! From planning on how to better develop and care for the farm to concrete action of cleaning up and contributing what one can give. Indeed, Laudato Si!
