2nd NATIONAL CONVENTION OF EPISCOPAL VICARS
Sr. Marivic humbly accepted the invitation as a MANDATE from the Church and at the same time as LVF’s fair share in its MISSION for the least, last and lost. The ambient that pervaded were that of attentiveness, intense eagerness to learn and the impetus to start and take on the challenge to set up networks of protection for the vulnerable of their dioceses. The Holy Spirit of compassion reigned in the assembly, Sr. Marivic walked through the Clergy to the reality of our most vulnerable children and youth who cannot defend and shield themselves from different kinds of abuses. Sr. Marivic said; “ Yes, you can say that we as NGO are doing a lot for our children and youth but our Church has the structure and the network already institutionalized in all parts of the Philippines and indeed YOU ARE A FORCE TO RECKON WITH!
Truly, WE ARE THE CHURCH! And by the power of GOD we can do all things for our beloved and gifted youth to empower them!
LVF REPRESENTATIVE: A DISCUSSANT ON ROUND TABLE DISCUSSION: WEAVING THE GIRL CHILD’S EXPERIENCES: A ROUNDTABLE DISCUSSION ON THE GIRL CHILD’S ACCESS TO JUSTICE IN CASES OF SEXUAL VIOLENCE
The LVF deemed it best for Ms. Rona to represent the foundation in the said assembly as she has gone through the LVF’s Journey of Hope Program herself. The participants marveled at the comprehensive program of LVF evidenced by the discussant, herself, former resident of LVF and who is PRC a licensed teacher since 2016. Ms. Rona has definitely contributed a hefty amount of wisdom and insightful understanding on the topic and has raised involvement to the cause of women and children empowerment.

For one thing, learning that there are so many groups and individuals caring for children and working for their protection and welfare is very heartwarming.
