The LVF Partihan 2014 brought together 1500 children from the many LVF Child Protection Clinic outreach areas and oratory youth centers . Each child was given a commemorative t-shirt which also ushered in the celebrations of the 25th anniversary of LVF. The party began with Mass and later a talk by Sr Sarah Garcia and some dance numbers by the CPC Sta Mesa group.
After lunch there was an inspiration talk from a young lady who had been born without arms. She encouraged the children with the message that 'with God, nothing is impossible' as she spoke about being able to fly an airplane in spite of her disability and wrote them a note with her toes. More entertainment followed including a popular singing duo which was very much appreciated by the crowds. The LVF board of directors shared a solidarity message with the children before distributing Christmas gifts to all, a large bucket full of foodstuffs to share with their families and some toys. We concluded the party with a Christmas message from Ms Marissa Concepcion and a countdown after which 25 poppers were let off and fired streamers into the air to open the 25th anniversary celebrations of LVF.
